Join the Registration Committee

CPATA is seeking expressions of interest to fill an agent position on its Registration Committee. 

Composed of a representative from the Patent Office and Office of the Registrar of Trademarks, licensees and members of the public, the Registration Committee assists the Registrar in administering the College’s licensing requirements.

  • class 1, 2 or 4 patent agent or trademark agent
  • Skills matrix
  • bilingual (English/French) preferred
  • approve standards for the evaluation of competencies and passing marks for the qualifying examinations
  • when requested by an applicant or a licensee, review decisions made by the Registrar under the By-laws
  • participate in 4 or more meetings of 2–3 hours in length each year
  • responsible for reviewing materials and preparing for meetings in advance
In accordance with Schedule 2 of CPATA’s By-laws.
