Call to Participate – Seeking Licensees for 2025 Qualifying Examinations Support

CPATA is seeking Class 1 and 2 agents to contribute their expertise to the 2025 Qualifying Examinations. This is an engaging and rewarding way to support the future of the professions.  

Thank you to the 100+ licensees who have already contributed to the redevelopment and administration of the new qualifying examinations. Licensees will receive an honorarium for their time. Please submit an expression of interest to participate.

Skills Exam Advisory Groups (Trademark and Patent)

– develop the 2025 exam content

– mark the 2025 exam submissions (Fall 2025)

Approximately one year starting in January/February 2025

$2500

Standard-Setting Groups for the 2025 Winter  Knowledge Examinations (Trademark and Patent)

– attend a training session

– test-write the exam 

– participate in two standard-setting sessions 

Approximately 20-24 hours over the course of several days on the following dates:

Trademark Knowledge Examination  

February 12, 2025 – take the exam

February 14, 2025 – training session (12pm – 4pm ET)

February 14-18, 2025 – asynchronous work

February 19 and 20, 2025 (12pm – 4pm ET) – standard setting sessions   

Patent Knowledge Examination 

February 27, 2025 – take the exam

March 4, 2025 (12pm – 4pm ET) – training session

March 4-5, 2025 – asynchronous work

March 6 and 7, 2025 (12pm – 4pm ET) – standard setting sessions
