Using the Licensee Portal for the First time

  1. Click on the following URL to access the Licensee Portal:

  2. Click Activate Now

  3. Enter the email address associated with your name in the CPATA Public Register, using only lowercase letters.  

  4. Check your e-mail for a “Thentia Cloud – Temporary Password” message. You should receive it within a few minutes. If you do not receive it, check your junk or spam folders. 

  5. Return to the Licensee Portal login page.  

  6. Enter your e-mail address and the temporary password provided by Thentia then  click Sign In 
  7. Choose and answer three security questions and click Submit.

    Answers to security questions are case-sensitive (e.g., “answer” is different from “Answer”).  

    You will have to answer one of these questions every time you log in, so please remember your answers.

  8. Set a new password and click Submit. 

    Your password must be at least eight (8) characters long and contain: 

    At least one (1) upper case letter; 
    At least one (1) number; and 
    At least one (1) special character (e.g.: ! @ # ?). 

    The system will not accept your first name, last name, address, city, province, postal code, birth date or commonly used words like “password” as part of your password. 

  1. Access the Licensee Portal.
  2. Click Activate Now

  4. Temporary passwords are sent from ‘noreply@thentiacloud.com’. Add ‘noreply@thentiacloud.com’ to your e-mail’s whitelist or safe sender list and then request your temporary password again.
  5. Return to the Licensee Portal login page.
  6. Enter your e-mail address and the temporary password provided by Thentia then click Sign In.
  7. Choose and answer three security questions and click Submit.

    Answers to security questions are case-sensitive (e.g., “answer” is different from “Answer”).  

    You will have to answer one of these questions every time you log in, so please remember your answers.

  8. Set a new password and click Submit.

All licensees are required to reset their password and security questions starting on October 1, 2022. 

  1. Access the Licensee Portal. 
  2. Click Activate Now.

  1. Open your e-mail inbox to retrieve your temporary password.  Temporary passwords are sent from ‘noreply@thentiacloud.com’. If you do not see the e-mail, add ‘noreply@thentiacloud.com’ to your e-mail’s whitelist or safe sender list and then request your temporary password again. Make sure you are using the email address associated with your name in the CPATA Public Register, using only lowercase letters. 
  2. Return to the Licensee Portal login page. 
  3. Enter your e-mail address and the temporary password provided by Thentia then click Sign In.

  1. Choose and answer three security questions and click Submit.Answers to security questions are case-sensitive (e.g., “answer” is different from “Answer”). You will have to answer one of these questions every time you log in, so please remember your answers.

  1. Reset your password and click Submit 

Your password must be at least eight characters long and contain at least: 

  • one upper case letter; 
  • one number; and 
  • one special character (e.g.: ! @ # ?).  

The system will not accept your first name, last name, address, city, province, postal code, birth date or commonly used words like “password” as part of your password.

  1. You’re done! You have now successfully reactivated your Licensee Portal account.  

Use the toggle in the top-right corner of the screen to switch between French and English.

Password Issues

  1. Click Forgot Password.

The system will only send temporary passwords to the primary e-mail address that the College has on file for you.   

Check your junk or spam folder for the e-mail.  

Temporary passwords are sent from ‘noreply@thentiacloud.com’. Add ‘noreply@thentiacloud.com’ to your e-mail’s whitelist or safe sender list and then request your temporary password again.  

If you are copying and pasting your password from the e-mail you received, please ensure there are no extra spaces or periods at the end.  

If you requested multiple temporary passwords, only the most recent one will work. 

If you still do not receive the activation e-mail that contains the temporary password, CPATA might need to update your e-mail address in our records. Please e-mail info@cpata-cabamc.ca for additional support. 

Locked accounts are unlocked by CPATA staff. Please contact info@cpata-cabamc.ca to  reset your account. 

Updating your personal information in the Licensee Portal

You can have two e-mail addresses in the system: one for correspondence and one for logging in 

  1. To change the e-mail address that CPATA sends messages to: 

Click on Personal Information in the menu. 

Scroll down to Primary E-mail and change your e-mail address. 

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save.

  1. To change the e-mail address that you use to log in:Click on Account Settings in the menu. 

Under Change E-mail, enter your new e-mail twice. 

Click Save. 

These changes must be made separately – changing one will not automatically update the other.

Click Personal Information in the menu to change your home and public mailing address, home and public phone number and preferred language.  

Click Name Change Request in the menu to submit a request to change your name. Legal documentation of your name change is required.  

CPATA no longer regulates firms as they were being regulated before the CPATA Act came into force.  

We continue to update firm information on the Public Register as a convenience for anyone looking for a licensee.
