CPATA\u2019s By-laws require every fee to be adjusted (increased or decreased) on January 1 by the percentage change in the October All-items Consumer Price Index for Canada. The October All-items CPI was published on November\u00a017th\u00a0and is an increase of 2.2% from October 2024.\u00a0Accordingly, all CPATA fees, including for\u00a0licence\u00a0issuance or renewal, foreign practitioner registration, applications, class\u00a0changes\u00a0and exams for 2025 will be adjusted by\u00a0<\/span>2.2<\/span>% and are listed in the table\u00a0below.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Call for Comments on 2027 Fees <\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

As an independent regulator, CPATA\u2019s funding comes exclusively from fees, 90% of which are licence fees.\u00a0The College sets licence fees at amounts sufficient to have the necessary resources to meet its mandate. CPATA is taking steps to adjust licence fees for 2027 and 2028.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Between mid-January and February 27, 2026, CPATA will hold a\u00a0call for comments\u00a0on the proposed\u00a0licence\u00a0fees for 2027-2028, with the expectation of a\u00a0moderate fee\u00a0reduction for each of these years.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Following the\u00a0call for comment, the Board of Directors will\u00a0determine\u00a0the fee amounts, and CPATA will work with the Government of Canada toward implementing the fee changes in<\/span>\u00a0Schedule 1 of CPATA\u2019s By-laws, which are drafted with the Department of Justice.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
